Bell, Book & Candle
by John van Druten
Gillian has cast a spell over an unattached publisher, partly to keep him away from a rival and partly because she finds herself attracted to him. He falls head over heels in love with her and wants to marry her. But wait, unfortunately witches cannot fall in love, and this minute imperfection leads to a number of difficulties. Will Gillian sacrifice her powers for human love? This play was the inspiration for the television series BEWITCHED. |
